I had promised the kids that I would share the information for the podcast we'd been listening to. Looks like their website has changed. So here's the new website for the company who has created the Six Minutes podcasts, Gen-Z Media: https://gzmshows.com/ As I said, we were listening to the Six Minutes podcast, short 6-10 minute clips of a story told in 205 episodes (the last one being a MUCH longer finale). My kids (bio-kids, not school kids) have listened all the way through to the end, so I know that the content is OK for my 5th graders. As a class, we were on episode 39, I think....??? The link above leads to Gen-Z Media's site, which has the links of all of their podcasts. There is a new one I found, and I listened to the first episode of: Remy's Life Interrupted. It is an 11 year old girl in New Jersey talking about her life in quarantine. Seemed pretty interesting...and something your kids might be able to relate to right now! Other podcasts I've listened to (not all of, but parts of) include: Becoming Mother Nature and Young Ben Franklin. I know our kids are spending a lot of time on their technology, but I like the podcasts as something we have to LISTEN and pay attention to, not just watch. It gives our eyes a rest but keeps our minds active! ENJOY!
